The Mid America Hockey League (MAHL) provides a highly competitive, developmental hockey league that extends to all age levels of AAA Hockey. Our league “vision” is to be the premier AAA youth hockey league in North America. Each league member is represented by a director to the league, and with a blend of experience and continuity, as well many new faces who bring new ideas and energy to the mix, the MAHL has the know-how, and the passion, to achieve its goals. The MAHL truly boasts some of the most knowledgeable, dedicated and experienced hockey people in North America, people capable of directing and guiding the premier Tier 1 AAA hockey league in North America. From top to bottom the league recognizes the prime importance of player development and focuses on giving all its players the opportunity to develop to the best of their abilities. Creating opportunities for its players to develop and excel, the MAHL undertakes promotional efforts such as All-Star competitions, and other promotional and recruiting efforts that make the MAHL a bona fide stepping stone to Juniors and Major Colleges. In addition, the MAHL takes head on the concerns of cost and excessive travel that have historically plagued youth hockey at the AAA level, by making concerted efforts to gain financial sponsorship for the league, and by employing creative scheduling scenarios that help keep travel expenses down. Many talented people continue to work hard behind the scenes to ensure that this season of competitive AAA hockey is as smashing a success as each of our past seasons. And we will continue to work both to improve our “product” on the ice to enhance the opportunities for personal and athletic growth that the MAHL offers.
